4. Believe in the Prophets
The prophets, or Rusul, are the Messengers who inform humans of the
consequences of good and bad behaviour, of its rewards and punishments. The teachings and
regulations of Allah are to be used for guidance of all conduct. Furthermore, the prophets
are chosen from ordinary people by Allah to act as prototypes for the practice of the desired
behaviours. To qualify, the prophets must have four special characteristics in which are
superior to others: 1) Honesty, trustworthiness towards everyone, no cheating or lying, 2) Truthful,
by always speaking the truth, no telling of lies or being deceitful 3) Having wisdom and intelligence
and 4) Propagating the revelations without concealment, with strong intention, endeavour, and
patience, to never be discouraged by any obstruction. There are 25 prophets mentioned in the
Noble Qur’an, with Adam as the first and Nabi Muhammad as the last.
5. Belief in the Day of Judgment
The Muslims believe that this universe is created temporarily and will be gone
one day. Allah will give judgment on the good and bad behaviour of humankind, therefore,
everyone must prepare by accomplishing good practices and avoid doing bad. When the judgment
day arrives, men with good deeds will be rewarded in the next life according to one’s wishes.
6. The Faith in Predestination and Decree
Allah is the controller of all natural conditions and the way of life of humans.
Every obstacle that men have to face makes them stronger and enables them to solve every
problem. The threats and risks in life and troubles are the tests of Allah in order to build strength
in all humans.
