                                                   The Qur’an, the Philosophy and its Practice




                                                              The most important scripture of Islam is the Noble Qur’an. It is the word of Allah,
                                                   passed on through the angel Gabriel to Nabi Muhammad to be spoken to men. The Noble Qur’an is
                                                   written in Arabic, composed of 30 parts (called juz') with 114 chapters (called sura). Each chapter
                                                   is named according to the content and the content is separated by verses (called ayat) in as many
                                                   as 6,236 verses. It is believed by the Muslims that each word and each alphabet letter in the Qur’an
                                                   came directly from Allah and are pure facts, The Qur’an is the charter of life. Besides the Qur’an,
                                                   there also is the Al Hadis, which contains the teachings and the practices of Nabi Muhammad for
