The Six Principles of Faith

                           1. Believe in Allah
The Muslims have faith in only one God that is “Allah.” They believe that Allah
is the creator of all things, nothing happens by itself. Allah holds the supreme power and is
righteous in ruling and administrating. He is the refuge of all existence. Man and animals, as
well as everything in the universe, are protected in life according to the determination of Allah.
If men have pure faith in Allah, as a consequence, their wishes will be bestowed by Allah.
Each person can communicate to Allah directly by supplication (duā) and
Islamic prayer (performing Namaz or Salat).

                           2. Believe in malāikah (angels)
Allah has created malāikah (angels) to serve his purpose. These angels are
transparent (imageless), neuter, do not eat or sleep, have no spouse, nor children, and can be
disguised into all forms. They are free from all sin and have no desire. Allah created many angels
to serve him for different purposes and are named individually.

                           3. Believe in the Books of Allah, especially the Qur’an
Allah gave a total of 104 books of regulations communicated through the angels.
The four most important are: the Tawrat (or Torah), Zabur, Injil (or Gospel), and Al-Qur’an
which is the final book of Allah. It was given to Nabi Muhammad via Gabriel, the angel. It is the
revelation of Allah which has never been revised from the original record.
