The Central Mawlid Festival
The Central Mawlid Festival is generally celebrated on the birth
th
of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad on the 12 day of Rabi' Al-Awwal (the
third month of the Islamic calendar). It is the observance of the birthday of
the Islamic prophet for commemoration of his teaching and his excellent
manners. The festival is marked with poems narrating stores about life of
the holy prophet Muhammad. Charity and foods are distributed. Exhibition,
lecture, academic discussion, any other activities regarding the Islam are hold.
His Majesty the King had opened and attained the Mawlid
ceremony in Thailand regularly since 1963 until 1968. Afterward, this annual
celebration have been opened by HRH Crown Prince Maha Vejiralongkorn,

representing HM the King.
All of His Majesty the King's royal speech has always made his
Thai Muslims people aware of importance of the Islam, built good relations
between people of different religions. He is truly a patron of of all religions.

contemplation, and about the purity of the

follow his preaching in order to find prosper-
ity and happiness.
